Pickings from the Dali Exhibition at the ArtScience Museum

Because I am brain dead from 2 meetings in a row all morning, I will splash some of my favourite pictures from the exhibition here as a vision break.  Enjoy 🙂

what we did in NTU today

While all my students were hard at work fighting the MTL battle, the Lit team was at NIE/NTU presenting our Sec 1 Literature programme.  We were sharing on how we incorporated principles of Assessment for Learning in our school.  Here are the light hearted moments.  You won’t notice how our hands were shaking during the presentation.  We are just relieved that it is over.

The La Salle Show 2011 – Graduands’ Showcase

women’s mentor

I must clarify that the two posts tonight are totally unrelated in case you are wondering.  At this morning’s class discussion about doing something meaningful with our lives, I guess my sen

ses were really tuned to volunteerism.  I chanced on this just an hour ago and thought it would be good to share it.  To have a mentor and someone to learn from is priceless.   These women are really inspiring and successful in their own ways.  I wish there was something like this for me to be a part of when I was much younger.  This one is for you young ladies on the job now.  Good luck!

What legacy would you leave behind?

I suppose the time is somewhat right for this post to be up.  This is not a discussion on politics and don’t engage me on it because I don’t like to talk about it.  Talking does nothing to anybody.

Years back, I was challenged with this question, “What kind of legacy would you leave behind?”  Sometimes, I still ask myself that question to evaluate the journey thus far.  I admire people who are brave to bring change and to break new ground.  I have watched and read about this man ever since he started getting involved year back.  And just so that this post is not a flash in the pan and written out of an emotional impulse, I deliberated and stalled.  I would like to let my hands do the talking, just like him.  That’s all I am going to say.  I hope you enjoy the news cutout that I saved.

new series of posts – test shots

There is no serious agenda behind these series of posts.  I am working on a bunch of test shots and putting together a savings account of things I like.  You are most welcomed to use the “Like” button at the end of the post or give me feedback to improve.
