afternoon indulgence

There is something inexplicably relaxing about afternoon tea.  Perhaps it’s the quietness and privacy I like so much about it.  For once, I don’t have to talk that much.  You just sit there, inhale the fragrance of hot tea and savour some really yummy cakes.  Then I have time to think and sort out my extremely jumbled and frazzled mind.  I had a really awesome tea this afternoon.  The cakes were heavenly!  I know this is going to make you hungry but here they are in order of appearance and taste factor.

we will conquer

So there goes the end of my self-imposed 2 day break.  Mentally, I was really drained with the slew of meetings and admin work.  You know you hit the mark when all you do when you come home is to just sit, stare and sleep.  I don’t have anything fantastic planned for the holidays after all the supplementary lessons.  Consistency is something I really want to work on in my life.  Right now, I need consistency in my fitness. Run, swim, run swim.  If I can do that for six cycles, I think that merits a great reward at the end. 🙂

from the darkness comes a light

It is an extremely awesome day so far hanging out with my friends and ending it off with a late Thai lunch. It is a day off for me and I just want to share this pretty photo from one of the school walls. It was taken late evening when I was stalking around for snapshots of something else for a presentation. There is something about the fiery orangeys that is so uplifting. Have a wonderful weekend!

imagination is the highest kite one can fly

When the invitation came, I jumped at the chance – a demonstration of kites!  I really wanted the students to have a taste of the joy that lies in its simplicity and grace.  We all look for something thrilling and innovative to keep us entertained.  But none can measure up to the majesty of a soaring kite in the sky that leaves us breathless.  I told my sec 5 class that this June vacation, we should go to West Coast Park to fly kites and then hang out at macs.  It’s going to be fun!  Well, there you go, enjoy the pics and the video!
